Matthew 13:3
And he spoke many things unto them in parables saying, "behold, a sower went forth to sow;...."
This verse reminds me of the gardens a lot of people are working on trying to get them ready to sow or to plant. It takes a lot of work to get the soil just right to plant the seeds and to set out plants. My precious daughter has been working on her garden spot and I have never seen so many rocks in one little plot of ground that she is trying to remove so it can be planted. If she doesn't remove them it won't be very much of a garden to plant or to grow food. Our lives need to be readied for God to use or they won't grow much. We will be like the seeds that were sown on the rocks and by the wayside or among the thorns and will not bring forth a harvest for God. Just as our gardens need sunshine and rain, we too need the things God sends into our lives to grow. God knows what is best for us to grow and what is needed to bring forth a harvest for Him. As you work in your garden let it be a reminder to also work on the garden of your heart. Take a look at your heart, ask God to see what might need planted, watered or pruned, perhaps then it will reap a rich harvest for God.
