James 2:15-16
If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

There has been a time or two in my life where I've been approached by a stranger, who was begging. And I'm ashamed to say I turned them away. I have since tried to make up for it by me approaching a beggar to help them, but what about the one I turned from? I can only ask God to forgive me. Why did I turn away? I'm not sure, maybe I was frightened or maybe I didn't have anything I thought I could give them. What if it were me begging? I know in this day and age it isn't safe due to violent men and women, but my heart still breaks for those who really do need help. It isn't always easy to know whom to trust, but this I know, I trust my Jesus. The Holy Spirit will nudge us in the right direction if we truly listen. The Bible also talks about entertaining angels unawares....If in doubt, pray, trust Jesus to lead you in what you should do.
