For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

I love God's word and it is my comfort in troubles and trials. As I read God's word it helps me to grow in the Lord. If I never read my Bible how would I learn more about God. I have read the same scriptures over and over and then something will stand out from it that I never saw before. I'm ashamed to admit that sometimes I let the things around me rob me of my time with my Lord. So many times I just read God's word without studying and meditating on it. God's word gives us hope for tomorrow, strength for today and comfort when our world crumbles around us. If I could only have one book in this life it would be my Bible. In it is our road map to Heaven and how to survive this old world we are living in. The only hope we have in this world is Jesus Christ our Lord. We learn how to be more like our Lord by reading the Bible. When you want to learn more about someone you search every place you can to find that information. I wonder how much do we search our Bibles to find out about our Lord and Saviour, the one who gave His life for you and me. Make time in your day to spend more time getting to know your Lord.
