Joshua 1:8 KJV
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do accordingly to all that is written therein: for then shalt thou make thy way prosperous and then shalt thou have good success.

The Lord was speaking to Joshua after Moses death about leading His people and how He would be with them if they did according to God's word. God also speaks to us today on our journey of life. We are to read and know His word and if we obey it then He will be with us in all we do and wherever we go. God wants us to fellowship with Him daily and seek to obey Him in every part of our life. We will never know what God wants us to do if we don't meditate on His word and seek to know what it is that He wants us to do in our life. It isn't easy in today's world to find a quiet spot to clear our minds of all the clutter. We will have to turn off the phone and TV to just stop and ask God to help us to listen to Him. Sometimes we can't hear that still small voice that speaks to our hearts over the noise of our busy thoughts. I too am guilty of being to busy and sometimes it hits me like a rock that I haven't spent anytime at all with my Lord today. No wonder my day has not gone as I had planned. We can plan our day, but it's God who is still in control of all that goes on in my day. Sometimes He has to give me a shake to remind me to stop and take note of where I am with Him, and to get me back on track.
