Psalm 77:18 KJV
The voice of thy thunder was in the heavens: the lightening lighted the world, the earth trembled and shook.
A couple of nights ago made me feel like this verse from the Bible was wrote for that night. The thunder and the lightening was fearful and the earth may or may not have trembled, but I sure did. I'm not someone who likes thunderstorms especially when they become severe. I know God knows what is best, so He has His reasons for the storms and tornadoes. But one things is for sure, after such storms it makes me appreciate the sunshine and makes me thankful for God's loving care. Even though the weather people told us of the possibility of severe weather, I still wasn't prepared for it. Life is a lot like the severe weather, it's storms catches us unawares even though the Bible tells us they will come to all of us. If we do not spend time in God's word and walk daily with Him, how can we face the storms in our lives? How will we face the tornadoes that turn our world upside down? I truly don't think I will ever like storms, but one thing that helps me through them is knowing God controls them all and I know He cares for me. I can trust God to keep me safe through whatever storm comes my way. The next time life brings you a storm and maybe a tornado, run to the One who holds them all in His hands.
