Hebrews 11:1 KJV
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

One time when I was a child growing up with my brothers and sisters, my mother told us a true story. My daddy worked in the timber and logging business and did a little farming too. He didn't always have a regular income. It had been raining a lot and our cabinet was pretty bare and mother went to make bread. There was only a little flour left in the flour bin. She had one of those old cabinet's with a built in place for flour and etc. Mother made bread with the last of the flour and there was 5 or 6 children back then, my mother had 8 children in all. The next morning mother told us she went back to the bin because she thought maybe there's still a little flour left in there, but she said she truly knew she had gotten every bit of flour out the day before. Guess what, there was enough flour in that bin for bread that day and the day after that and until my daddy was able to go buy some more. Mother told us kids that God provided for us and she always tried to teach us to put our faith in God. The bin was empty and yet it was her faith and hope that the flour would be there when she needed it. God wants us to have faith in Him even when we can't see with our eyes. My mother trusted in her God to provide what she and daddy could not provide at that time. I can tell you that I have lived long enough to tell you from my experiences God provides for His children. God is real and there is no other God and He is who I am trusting in. God tells us in His word to trust Him even when we can't see. Are you trusting in the God of the Bible or in the gods of this world? God gives us a choice, the world or Him, you can't have both. Remember to put your faith where it counts in a God who will be there when all else is gone.
