Lamentation 3:41 KJV
Let us lift up our hearts with our hands unto God in the heavens.

The other day when her mother was sick with a cold, our little granddaughter and I prayed for her mommy to feel better and for her daddy as he had a cold as well. Our precious little granddaughter said: "What about me Nanee, I'm sick too." Such a little girl and yet she wanted Nanee to pray for her and I did. I didn't always pray out loud for our children, but I did pray day and night for them. I believe our children and grandchildren need to hear us call their names in prayer. There is something about hearing someone praying for you that lifts you up. I'm so glad God hears His children when we pray. I know I need to spend more time on my knees with my heart and my hands lifted up in prayer to God. We all need the prayers of others. In this world with all it's sickness and troubles and trials, where can we go if not to God. There is not a day that goes by that I am not reminded of those I need to lift up in prayer. What a lesson I learned from a little 3 year old when out of the blue she said: "Nanee we need to pray for Uncle __" and she dropped to her knees and told Papa and me, we need to hold hands and we prayed. The Bible says " ..a little child shall lead them." We can all learn from little children how to pray, simple and from the heart.
