John 14:15-17
Even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

The last two weekends there has been severe weather. The first Friday night my heart was quaking within me and my mom, bless her heart, was quaking as well. But there comes a time when you realize you have no where to run.....where can you go? Nowhere, but to the one who created all things and is in control of all things. The news was saying a tornado was headed straight for us, so we prayed. I went ahead and got ready for bed in my normal routine except for my little one I put in our bed. We laid down with a prayer in my heart and a gospel song going through my head and we made it through the first round of storms. The second round I never even heard. The next Friday night same thing, storms coming, Saturday night tornadoes. Me and mom said a prayer. Shortly there after a peace came into my heart and mind. I can't explain it because the situation hadn't changed, but God calmed my spirit. I was worried but not afraid. I am a control freak. I hate it when I cannot make something do what I want it to. Have you ever tried to make the wind stop blowing?...lol. We can't but God can. Jesus said "Peace be still" and He said it to my soul the other night. What a awesome God we serve. Peace be still......
