4-9-10

Matthew 11:28-30
Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

Jesus tells us to come unto Him and He will give us rest. I believe He was talking about our souls more than our bodies. When Jesus comes into your life you no longer have to face things alone. Burdens are lifted at Calvary. Whatever is going on in your life, Jesus can take that burden or circumstance and lift it up and you will feel as if a giant rock has been lifted from your shoulders. I love that old song that speaks of Jesus being a rock in a weary land. I don't know how many times Jesus has lifted me up and I can tell you that it made a difference in how I was feeling. Jesus wants us to come to Him and tell Him how things are and let make our burdens light.
