This is another psalm of David and he too, went through discouragement and fears. He spent a lot of his life fleeing from King Saul and then from his own son, Absalom. In this old world today, I don't know about you but there are a lot of things to run from and to fear until I am reminded that I belong to Jesus. Jesus is in control and fear should have no place in my life. It's when I take my eyes off Jesus that I get in trouble. I guess because I live in this world and in this human body I will face many unknown things and fear will try to raise it's ugly face. With God's word and with much prayer the spirit of fear can be conquered, if I always run to Jesus with it. Right now I too am facing a few unknowns but I refuse to let fear control my life. I really believe whatever God allows in our lives are for our good. Because of what we go through we can reach out to others and encourage them for Jesus' sake. Our only help in this life and world is Jesus. Don't let that little voice of fear control your life but look to the one who gave His life for you and me. "Fear only brings hopelessness, but faith keeps a rainbow in your heart."
