Psalm 60:11
Give us help from trouble; for vain is the help of man.

You can bet in this life there will be troubles and you never know when they are coming, nor where they are coming from. All we have to do is look around and look at the people around us. Their faces may wear a smile but you can be assured they have had troubles of some sort. You can often look at their eyes. Someone once said the eyes are the mirror to the soul....Your heart may want to help them but sometimes you can do nothing but lift them up in prayer. I look at my lost loved ones and all I can do is cry out to God to open their eyes to their need of Jesus. The above verse says "vain is the help of man." There are troubles that we can only give to God and let Him help because we can do nothing to help ourselves. I'm so glad I have a Lord I can run to with any and every trouble I have in this life. There is nothing God can't do, so give Him all your troubles and trials and let Him take care of them. Remember that He is the same God who fed Elijah by using ravens to bring him food. He is the same God who made a nation out of an old couple. He is the same God who makes the rainbows and the same God who made you. Trust, obey and believe...all things are possible.
