Phillipians 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I say rejoice.

God wants us to have joy when it comes to serving Him. How can others desire to serve Him if they see us going through life with a long and unhappy face. If we as Christians have no joy why would others want to become Christians? I have had many times in my life when I wanted to run away and hide and cry myself a river of tears. I've wanted to make my bed in self pity but thanks be unto Jesus, my rock and my Saviour, my Redeemer He wouldn't let me stay there.

Rejoice in the Lord always
Lift up your voice in praise
Rejoice in Him alone
For He is the only way

There is no place in God's work for self pity or unhappiness. When we think of God and all He has done for us how can we not be happy and full of joy. It's when we take our eyes off Jesus that we mess up. Start today with joy in your hearts.
