Psalms 19:14 NIV

May the words of mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

There is a song that is going through my head right now. Actually it has been going around for a couple of hours now........On Christ the Solid Rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand. How true this is. Can you imagine not having Christ to lean on, cry to, run to or just sit with? I can't. I tried to search for the words in the hymnal, but came across my favorite song....Hide Me, Rock of Ages.

O thou blessed Rock of Ages, I am trusting now dear Lord in Thee.
Keep me till my journey's ended, Till Thy blessed face I see.

Keep me when the storm clouds gather,Till the sun comes shining thur,
Keep me till my work is over, Till I bid this world adieu.

When my journey is completed, And there's no more work to do,
Saviour guide my weary spirit, To that Happy Land beyond the blue.

Chorus:

Hide me, O blest Rock of Ages, Till thy blessed face I see, When the storm around me rages, Rock of Ages hide thou me.

This comforts me. I can picture my Jesus' face, watching and guiding and protecting me every step of the way. Some songs just speak to your soul don't they?
