Psalms 19:14 NIV

May the words of mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

The Creator looked about one day
To see what He could make
And noticed that His foot stool
Could use someone to rake

By forming in the sand
An image like His own
He fashioned a man
To tend the garden He had sown.

The man, his name was Adam
Was to name everything
And would visit with the Creator
Every evening when He came

Then one day the Creator noticed
That poor Adam had no one
To help him in the garden
Or nag to get things done

The Creator took a rib
From Adam we are told
To make for him a helper
And a hand for him to hold

The Creator told His creations
To obey and don't upheaval
Not to eat from the tree
Of knowledge of good and evil

For a while things were fine
All was happy and content
Till a rascal called a serpent
A subtle lie he did hint.

The man and the woman
Did eat of the tree
And hid in the bushes
Like the Creator couldn't see

Though He loved His creation
From the garden they must go
Because they disobeyed
Tough love  don't you know

Though sin sent them away
God had other plans
He sent His only Son
To save poor fallen man.

Upon the cross of Calvary
The Creator's Son did die
With a crown of thorns, nail pierced hands
and a spear stuck in His side

But He arose, He is not dead,
Death could not keep Him there
He won the victory over death
There is no need to fear.

So look to the Cross of Calvary
And with His grace, repent
For your face is what He saw that day
For you His blood was spent.

The moral of this story
Learn to listen and obey
And if you see a serpent
Quickly turn and run away.
