Psalm 118:58
I entreated thy favor with my whole heart: be merciful unto me according to thy word.

God's word tells us that He will give mercy and forgiveness to a repentant heart. There's an old song that asks this question, how about your heart is it right with God? A right heart with God brings a peace that passes understanding. It is something deep inside that will never panic though your world spins out of control. I would rather have God's mercy, forgiveness and peace than all the wealth of the world. That brings me assurance that Jesus is mine and I belong to Him and that is worth it all to me. What a day that will be, when my Jesus I shall see, when I look upon His face, the one who saved me by His grace....this old hymn says there is peace in the heart.
