Matthew 5:48
Be ye therefore perfect even as your Father which is in Heaven is perfect.

We all enter into this old world as sinners and we sure aren't perfect. But when Jesus comes into our hearts we change and we no longer want to do the things we use to. We still are not perfect, but we want to be a better person than we were before. I don't live a perfect life nor do I have a perfect heart, but I wish to be more like Jesus every day or my life. The Bible tells us to be perfect like our Heavenly Father. I believe as much as humanly possible we should strive to be more like Jesus every day of our life. Jesus is the only way we can even be better because without His help we can do nothing at all. All that we are and ever hope to be we owe to Jesus, our Lord and Saviour. When we get to Heaven, we'll have a perfect body and a perfect heart and then and only then will we be like Jesus, that's being perfect in Jesus.

To open up myself and home

To tell of Christ's story

If all those evil thoughts
Had never been entertained

He helps me see the light

Though perfect, I will never be
I'll always long to do what's right
For my Jesus is the One
Upon which I rest my sight

I long to be like Jesus
