Psalm 44:21
....would not God have discovered it, since He knows the secrets of the heart?
Have you ever been in church and something flitter across your mind that had no business being there? Or maybe praying to our Lord, and something pop in your head that is totally unacceptable? Have you ever been so anger at someone that you hurt them in your mind? There are many ways to hurt people, are you guilty, even silently guilty? I hate to admit it but I am, to all of the above.
Sometime when at church, I try so hard to stay focused, then out of the blue a thought so ugly and evil will pass through. I feel so guilty. I ask for forgiveness and still fill dirty. The only thing I can do at that point is just start singing about the blood of Jesus. There is one song in particular "...are you washed in the blood." This for some reason will help me to get my focus back on the Lord. I never meant for it to be off the Lord, but .... As for the hurting someone, yes I'm guilty as well. All I can do there is ask for forgiveness and try my best to pray for that person every time I think about them. That is the hard part, trying to pray good things for someone I don't like. There are times I get so discouraged and mad at myself. Even while writing this....but a scripture has come to mind about how God knows my frame and that I'm made of dust.
Thank you Lord for loving me even at my unloveable best. Thank you for your forgiveness everyday, every minute, every hour and every second.
Forgiveness is but a key
To a happy Christian walk
For by forgiving others
We also can talk the talk
For Christ forgave us
So how shall we deny
Forgiveness to others
Though our patience they do try.
