"Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels." Hebrews 13:2

Have you ever thought about this?  Throughout the years I have and often wondered if perhaps I may have.  Isn't it exciting to think that this could possibly have happened?  When you walk down a street and catch a strangers glance, do  you smile and say hello?  Or do you quickly drop your eyes and hurry on by.  What if that stranger just wanted one person to make them feel like they cared?  It is a small thing, a smile.  But it has power to change a person's day, maybe even their life.  Let's just say for the sake of argument, that stranger lost their job, family and home all in one day.  What a blow!  Let's just say they have been walking aimlessly trying to find some ray of hope somewhere.  Unbeknowst to you, they have a gun in their pocket and they have been thinking of ending it all.  What if the smile you gave them was the one thing that triggered that last ray of hope.  Just something to think about ....  Christmas is fast approaching and so many people are hurting out there.  Find someone, a total stranger today and make a difference in that one life.  If not a smile, then maybe pay for the meal in the car behind you at the fast food place your in.  Or maybe by a cup of coffee or hot chocolate.  Or the big one, give them the best smile you ever gave.  Look them in the eyes and smile.  You'd be surprised how good it feels to give that away and how good it feels to receive it.  Merry Christmas!
